PARENTS/CAREGIVERS SUPPLEMENT POLICY Parap Primary School Council Inc introduced a Parents/Caregivers Supplement Policy from the beginning of 2007. The Supplement provides resources and services in support of the schools programs and activities in addition to the resources provided by the NT Government, and enables wider choice by parents/caregivers in the use of the NT Government Back to School Vouchers. The Supplement level is set at $2.25 per week (a total of $90 per Primary student) for the 2008 school year, to a maximum of $270 per year for a family. Enrolments in Terms 1 and 2 attract a Supplement of $90 per student; enrolments in Terms 3 and 4 attract a Supplement of $50 per student. WHY DO WE NEED A SUPPLEMENT POLICY? The NT Government provides teaching and support staff, school facilities and funding for utilities (power, water, communications, maintenance etc). It also provides funding to the School Council to meet the basic costs of curriculum implementation. However, not all curriculum activities and other school
