Mr. (Bob) and Mrs. (Adele) Purvis, lately of Woodgreen station, Central Australia. Bob Purvis was a bush contractor before taking up Woodgreen circa 1918; he was known as the "Sandover Alligator" because of his insatiable appetite. Adele Purvis had been a music teacher; was a keen local historian and was the founder of the National Trust of Australia (Northern Territory).,
