DH88 Comet G-ACSR 1934 air race no. 19 Cathcart-Jones and Waller. Arrived Darwin 24 October, Melbourne 26 October. Third in speed section. Prize 500 pounds. Photo shows Gordon Nicholls refuelling aircraft from vehicle shipped from Sydney especially for the race. The truck arrived at the aerodrome on 15 October.,
