DH60 De Havilland Moth, registration G-ABHY, is depicted at Darwin in 1931. The Moth was flown by English aviator Charles W. A. Scott from England to Australia, landing at Darwin on 10 April 1931, setting a new record at the time. Scott was delivering the plane to a customer in Australia.
Scott made two other flights to Australia. In 1932 he flew another De Havilland Moth (VH-UQA) and in 1934 he competed in the MacRobertson Air Race. Scott and his co-pilot won the event in a De Havilland Comet, completing the race in 52.5 hours.,
