Bomb damage to Post and Telegraph and cable company precinct buildings, particularly the square facade of the new Darwin Post Office (Beni Burnett) commenced before the first bombing of Darwin. The new building became the basis of the Legislative Assembly building. Bomb crater in foreground.,
