Man beside monoplane G-AATI Desoutter 'Aorangi', a Hermes engined Desoutter sports coupe 105 hp. Flying Officers H. L. Piper and C. Kay. It arrived in Darwin on Monday 24 March 1930, six weeks after leaving England. They were the first New Zealanders to enter Australia by air after a flight from England.,
