Benefits o f the new framework include: - improved delivery targeted services; - identification o f key priorities; - focus on customer service; - improved resource and performance information; - greater accountability fo r achieving outcomes; and - quality financial and non-financial information fo r internal and external decision making. Analysis o f output resources and performance information prepared for implementing the new framework in 2001 -2002 has been incorporated in this years Annual Report, to provide a more comprehensive perspective o f Territory Housing's performance. Goods and Services Tax education sessions were conducted fo r staff at various levels within the organisation, to ensure any adverse impacts on staff o r clients were minimised. In association with Territory Housings risk management strategies, a post Goods and Services Tax review will be conducted in 2001 -2002. This review will ensure that the organisation has recognised and accounted for all transactions correctly fo r taxation purposes. A Goods and Services Tax implementation project was completed in June 2000 to ensure Territory Housings compliance with the requirements o f the Commonwealth Government's new tax system.
