NO Were travelling and leaving our dog at home but we have a housesitter. Darcy Brooke, Zuccoli YES I give our dog a big hug. Tiahne Clarke, Wulagi YES We do. We wrap our dog up a little present and get him a squeaky toy and special biscuits. Letticha Clarke, Wulagi YES Weve got a cat and a dog. Normally I get the dog a bone and I get the cat toys. Kellie Culham, The Gardens NO Were not really like that. Kosta Boubaris, Nightcliff Super snaps Something to say? Letters to the editor should be kept to 300 words or less. Responsibility is taken by the Editor, NT News, GPO Box 1300, Darwin, NT, 0801 ON FURY OVER A JETSTAR CANCELLATION JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS So unfair to other people who are going on holidays!! Dont they realise if Jetstar closes they all lose their jobs anyway!!! Maybe if they made sure all customers have a wonderful experience and made Jetstar into a great carrier to fly, they would have a much better chance of improving their wages?? Penny Tastula Some of qantas even tho not affected with cancellations are dealing with jetstars strikes which are making delays on flights too. Keep an eye out for those flights too and time delays. Claire Hudson Least you got 6 hours notice. All crapstar flights we been on cancelled without any notice. I will never fly with crapstar again. Kelly Maree And then say there was no seat on any plane to get passengers out of Darwin last night.... yet qantas was selling for $1697 a seat. Dont ever purchase their travel insurance. Not worth it!! Sarah Williams People do realise this isnt Jetstar staff being wrong? They are striking as is their right, to fight for fair and safe working conditions. It sucks but have some understanding. Scott Ryan I refuse to fly with this airline I have never had a decent flight with them worst customer service out of all Australian airlines my advise spend the extra money and fly with virgin every time. Benny Mac What a joke of an airline company.... Glen Gangemi Once upon a time you caught a boat, took a month, or you went by train to Larrimah then by truck to Alice then by train to Adelaide, then from there to Melbourne and onto Sydney, about the same time. Stop complaining. Clinton Bock Thats budget airlines for you. Danial Faux Take your money elsewhere ... if Jetstar want to play games fly with someone else. Grant Atkins ON MANY THINGS So Mr Gunner (and distinguished MLAs); I wish to open a $200m fun park in Darwin. It will employ 200 people (actually maybe only 50 due to efficiencies). Problem is, I cant afford to build it. Can you please fund and build the park, then give it to me for free, and in return, I will maintain it and pay the staff (plus Ill keep all the profits of course). What a pity the milkwoods had to die in order for their iconic status to be appreciated. Tree lover It was an enlightening experience to open Fridays paper and share in 16 pages celebrating the NTs Year 12 students. The lift out offered a balance to readers who are often assailed with stories of aberrant youth behaviour. There are many fine young people in the Territory and your feature offered a balance on their worth that is often overlooked. E Kynaston Whats the point of spending good money attracting people to live here when top dollar bureaucrats have partners and children living down south, like the old mate on page 4 caught DUI on East Point Rd heading to the airport. If Gunner thinks FIFOs are bloodsuckers on the local economy he might look in his own public service back yard first. Mark HS Garry Higgins needs to be replaced by Lia immediately, theres a by-election to be won and getting in bed with Gunner on the early inheritance Bill is no help. Peter Williams Hottest ever? Depends upon what data you use apparently. Ive seen data that says 1880 to the 1940s was hotter and then it cooled off till the 1970s then started warming again. Phew! Im so glad I dont own a 3 series BMW or rich tradies ute-truck. Now, where can I hide my Lamborghini from the ATO Gestapo? Another question Gerry, why was the tree lopper working outside the 8am curfew on weekends when using noisy machinery? CW Please send her down Hughie!
