THE NORTHERN TERRITORY NEEDS NURSES WITH EXCEPTIONAL ABILITIES. The remote area communities of the Northern Territory offer the most challenging and rewarding nursing experiences there are. Right now these communities have a pressing need for Registered Nurses and Midwives with some very special additional skills. For the right people, these positions offer new lifestyles, new learning, new cultural experiences, and the satisfaction of a role that challenges every personal and professional skill... every day. - IF THIS IS YOU AND YOU LIKE ADVENTURE,YOU'RE NEEDED! We have vacancies for Clinical Nurse Consultants and Nurse Managers (RN Level lB), and Remote Area Nurses (RN Level lA). BUT THAfS JUST THE BEGINNING You need exceptional personal qualifications too. You need to know how to commit yourself to a task. You need to enjoy taking initiative and thrive on flexibility and you need to take pleasure in making decisions as an independent practitioner. But most of all, you need a genuine interest in Aboriginal health and a true respect for Aboriginal cultural values. - NEXT, YOU HAVE TO BE READY TO LEARN. All successful applicants participate in a l week Remote Area Orientation Program to prepare for their experience ahead. As well as an introduction to NJ. nursing, the Program exposes recruits to a l day Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Program and a 4WD driver training day. Make no mistake, these positions are not for everyone. They're for that rare breed of nurse with a strong sense of purpose and an equally strong will to succeed. -IF YOU CAN OFFER US THAT, WE OFFER YOU THIS.
