The end of the story is that although we did not get much publicity in Darwin, somehow this picture made its way to Japan, and surfaced in a subsequent issue of Patchwork Quilt Tsushin. oOo Snippets March 2019 March Club Meeting - Monday 4 March 2019 7.30pm Supper roster: Stacey Henderson, Rose Manison & Lyn Bates Minutes from February 2019 General Meeting Meeting opened: 19:30 Attendees/present: Present as per attendance book New Members none Visitors - Cheryl Apologies: Apologies as per attendance book President Thanks: Susan opened the meeting giving thanks to: 1) Janelle for organising the Australia Day workshop (Free-motion Pink wall-hanging) 2) Paperbark ,Lenore Dembski, for donating 3 gift vouchers. 3) Tip, Annie, Ros and Kathy for sorting out the donated fabric. This was on sale at the general meeting tonight. Remaining scraps with be donated to CWA and Life without Barriers. 4) Bev for the number of hours she has put in, to sorting out the books and magazines in the library. A large number of magazines where out for people to take home (and not return). Library: 6 new book are in the library, pictures of the front cover was in January snippets. Saturday Stitches: Janelle Northcott 16th February: Quilt as you go hexagon needle case. In the pipeline Fabric bowls, woven baskets with scraps, mat using scraps, packing travel bag with net top, crazy patchwork bag Workshop update: Joy Baker for Stacey Henderson Stacey is corresponding with a tutor who will teach the skills required to do a Quiltworx quilt by Judy Niemeyer. She is happy to teach the skills needed for this method of quilting. The workshops will be small (10-12 people) and the project will probably be placemats or table runners. This could be $150 per day. Mount Bundy: Annie Buckley on behalf of the Robyns 12 ladies have fully paid up, still some place left - encouraged members to put there name on the list if they wish to go.
