Responsibility is taken by the Editor, NT News, GPO Box 1300, Darwin, NT, 0801 ON ALDERMAN JUSTINE GLOVERS CALL TO BAN FIREWORKS TO THE PUBLIC Also a 30 per cent increase is stupid people! John Manfredman About time people. Margaret Tucker Dumass leave the NT alone. Marilyn Chalker Jeeeez, 30% increase over 20 years! Im astounded! How much has the crime rate increased in the last 2 years maybe do something about that first. What a joke. Josh Pucci This is one thing that the Territory truly calls theirs. We have more increased problems with crime and drugs than fireworks. Bout time the government decreases that problem first dont you think? Kristine Fahey ON PROPOSED LAWS WHICH WILL GIVE POLICE THE POWER TO SEARCH CROOKS FOR GUNS WITHOUT A WARRANT Law Society of NT they wouldnt have a vested interest in opposing the proposed laws? Nah. David Lee Whatever it takes to get the job done, more than likely it would only be the usual suspects that would complain. Derrek Towns No gun no problem. Michael Thomas Taylor ON CYRIL RIOLIS TIWI BOMBERS DEBUT TODAY He hasnt been named on the team list this season until now. It was all just rumours before. Cameron Kossack Of course he will play. He wants to play in front of his own people. Cyril wont withdraw. Geri Narul Two late withdrawals? Please #alwaysplanned #morethanagame #dontbefirstberight Leigh Crossman ON MANY THINGS Ban fireworks. yayyyyy been wanting this for so long. so sick of them being thrown over the fence and down the storm drains for a bigger bang. Funny though how its up for discussion after them causing a huge bushfire in NSW. Doesn't matter about the injuries every year hmmm go figure. Once more the behaviour of cracker night idiots is threatening an activity that has become an ingrained element of NT culture. The vast majority of responsible people may lose the right to rejoice in our Territory on this special night. Disappointed. Cant wait to see City of Darwin ads for a number of qualified Cat Herders. My cat if caught will refuse to answer any questions. What a stupid by-law and waste of my rates. Mark, Tiwi Actually nothing has changed. Cats were never allowed to roam off their property anyway. Has Labor realised that the public was sick of Natasha Fyles and wheeled out Kate. well I tell you what different person but the same stuff coming out of her mouth!! NM troll (txt 1/11) so youre admitting now the massage shops do the illegal sex service. Thanks, your admission makes it clear as you troll in their defence. Dont need to be a patron, been obvious for 12 yrs! CW May DArcy Short, born and brought up in the NT and now a cricketing icon, continue to represent Australia on the world cricketing stage. He is testament to our Territory so often lifting above its weight. Mr Short does our Territory proud. Patriot As a past Chief Minister, Paul Henderson can take a great deal of credit for the impetus leading toward an Australia wide ban on the use of plastic shopping bags. His initiative in banning the bags in the NT, focused the attention of other states which have followed suit. Appreciator Sad to see CDU axeing so many tradie VET courses but the reality is Aussie kids on Aussie costs cant compete against the work visa mob who will always work for less and send money home instead of spending local.
