Northern Territory portion of the Lake Eyre Basin,
Description
Report to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources by Desert Wildlife Services, June 2018,
Abstract
In 2016, a pilot study was conducted to produce a digital map of wetlands in selected test areas and make recommendations for extending the mapping in the wider NT-LEB (see Eldridge 2017). In mid-2017, Stage 2 of the mapping project was instigated by the Northern Territory Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Desert Wildlife Services was engaged to undertake the work. The project aimed to use recommendations from the pilot study to produce detailed wetland mapping (supplied as attributed GIS data) of the Pedirka Geological Basin and beyond, to cover as much of NT-LEB as possible. Mapping began in September 2017 and was completed in May 2018.,
