Abstract

This Record presents results for 16 samples from the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory that were selected for laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS) U-Pb zircon dating. The samples comprise 13 sedimentary rock samples from southern HENBURY in the central Amadeus Basin and three mafic rock samples from both surface and subsurface in HALE RIVER in the eastern Amadeus Basin. Of the 13 sedimentary rock samples, three were from ungrouped late Neoproterozoic units, four were from the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian Winnall Group, five were from the Ordovician-Devonian Larapinta Group and one was from the late Devonian Pertnjara Group. The mafic samples are all from the Neoproterozoic Johnnys Creek Formation., This Record presents results for 16 samples from the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory that were selected for laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS) U-Pb zircon dating.
