Significant facies changes occur between the Kunoth Knob area and the outcrops east of New Bore; the latter exposures c o m p r i s e i n t e r b e d d e d m u d s t o n e , s a n d s t o n e , c o a r s e a r k o s e a n d c o b b l e c o n g l o m e r a t e (Figure15), w i t h a p r o n o u n c e d h i g h r a d i o m e t r i c r e s p o n s e . sp e c t a c u l a r e x p o s u r e s o f c o b b l e conglomerate are present around 433280mE 7551039mN. th e s e s t a c k e d l e n t i c u l a r b o d i e s a r e i n f e r r e d t o r e p r e s e n t fluvial channels. Clasts are dominated by quartzite, but
