4 The relevant industry regulation Act applying to the water supply and sewerage services industries is the Water Supply and Sewerage Services Act. The Commission acknowledges the complexity of the regulatory framework governing the electricity, water supply and sewerage services in the Territory, and its future role as the economic regulator of the port. It also recognises the role of government, government agencies and industry participants in the regulatory framework. The diagram on the following page provides an overview of the existing regulatory environment for the Territory, as at 1 July 2015.
