COTA NT NEWS COTA NT Inc GPO Box 852 Darwin NT 0801 65 Smith Street Darwin NT 0800 ABN 86 316 991 800 P: (08) 8941 1004 E: admin@cotant.org.au www.cotant.org.au AMADEUS GAS CONSUMER REFERENCE GROUP COTA NT is also a member of the Amadeus Gas Consumer Reference Group which is looking at the pricing of gas. This pricing structure will go before the Energy Regulators. It is very similar to the Power and Water Consumer Advisory Group that COTA NT was on and which also had to have the Energy Regulator approve the new pricing structure. SENIORS MONTH GRANTS OPENING SOON Seniors Month grants will be opening soon. COTA NT will once again be collating Seniors Month event information, producing and distributing the printed Seniors Month calendar. If you receive funding via the Senior Months grants, it is a condition of your funding that you provide your event information to COTA NT for listing in the 2020 Seniors Month Calendar. To ensure that we have the correct information going to press, we will need this information by close of business on the 6 June. We can also accept listings for events that do not receive grant funding if they are designed for seniors. Also, please remember: You can publish to the online community calendar hosted on the COTA NT website at no cost, all year round. We highly recommend doing this if COTA NT staff are asked whats on? by people, we turn first to the calendar and share the information published on it. STEPUP FOR DEMENTIA RESEARCH The goal of StepUp for Dementia Research is to make it possible for everyone who wants to be involved in dementia research to get the chance to do so and to help researchers find the people they need. COTA NT is proud to champion the project and to assist researchers connect to people in the Northern Territory. Visit our web page to find out how you can get involved. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR ALL Finally, we turn to the work of our fellow COTAs. COTA Victoria has launched the Assistive Technology for All campaign asking the Australian Government for a National Assistive Technology Program for people of all ages who are not eligible for the NDIS. They want your help. You can show your support in a number of ways: visiting the website signing the petition and encouraging others to do so asking AT users who do not qualify for the NDIS to tell their stories. mailto:admin@cotant.org.au http://www.cotant.org.au/ https://www.cotant.org.au/territory-seniors-calendar/ https://www.cotant.org.au/about-us/cota-advocacy/our-collaborations/stepupdementiaresearch/ https://civicrm.cotavic.org.au/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=872&qid=8544 https://civicrm.cotavic.org.au/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=873&qid=8544 https://civicrm.cotavic.org.au/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=874&qid=8544
