TUESDAY MAY 5 2020 LIFESTYLE 27 V1 - CAVE01Z01MA NEVER GIVE UP Bring in the light and block out the darkness We all have the capacity for good and bad actions. The one we embrace is what well experience, writes MARILYN KLEEMANN FOR a little while now, Ive been triggered by an acquaintances posts on social media. I havent known them very long and our connection is more professional rather than a friendship. However, their posts dont connect to my perceptions of the person I see when Im in their physical presence. In a face-to-face conversation and also witnessing their delivery and body language as a presenter or host at an event, they appear to be quite grounded, spiritual, intelligent, knowledgeable, in flow, kind and compassionate. And this person is extremely good at creating, planning, organising and delivering a spectacular experience for anyone attending one of their events. However, what is triggering me is how much negativity, conspiracy theory and misinformation this person is sharing on social media. Its the opposite to my perceptions of this person. Initially, I was shocked by the contrast but then I realised two things. We all have light and dark within us and what is most prominent at any one time, is whatever we choose to focus on. This person is extremely good at event planning with a focus on giving the attendees a positive, joyful, uplifting experience. This is when they connect to their light. Being at home adhering to restrictions, physical distancing and perhaps not having much to do, theyre focusing on the Darkness. Scrolling through Facebook and YouTube for evidence of the theories they believe in, and sharing it to anyone else wholl validate their beliefs, is feeding the Darkness. No, not just feeding it, growing it, enlarging it, expanding it. I feel this is not what they want. I know they want the light of the New Earth to shine forth but while theyre feeding the Darkness, they cant connect to the Light. Most of us can do more than one thing at a time but you cant focus on Darkness and Light at the same time. Ill admit not too long ago I was also weaving between Darkness and Light. I probably still do a little bit but I also feel Ive had a spiritual growth spurt because I just cant be bothered interacting with people who are drawn to the Darkness, to the conspiracies. I guess watching all the conspiracy and Dark theory videos could be viewed as searching for the truth of what caused all of this disruption but does that serve a purpose for you? Is that even worth expending your energy on? When you walk down the street, what do you see? Do you notice how dirty the footpath is while youre walking along? Do you watch your feet as you walk? Why are you looking down all the time? Look up. Look at the sky. Notice the clouds. There have been some very unusual cloud formations recently. Look at the treetops. Notice the nests snuggled precariously in the branches. Have you noticed the birds and butterflies? Personally, the small birds of prey, the butterflies and dragonflies have been connecting with me for a long time now. They guide me. They let me know Im on the right path. I would never notice them if I had my head down, looking at my shoes all the time. Look up. Look to the light and look for the Light. Close your eyes and face the sun. Let your body absorb the light. Light is love, care and compassion. Its empathy, gratitude and connection. Its joy, generosity and abundance. It surrounds us. It always has and its more prominent now than it ever has been but if you keep noticing how dirty and cracked the footpath is, and conspiring a theory for why it is so, youll never join the Light community of the New Earth. Youll stay stuck in the Darkness. There is a Native American Cherokee proverb about darkness and light within each of us. You may have head it. One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that does on inside of people. He said, My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, sorrow, jealousy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, inferiority and ego. The other is good. It is love, peace, joy, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, Which wolf wins? The old Cherokee simply relied, The one you feed. Close your eyes and face the sun. Let your body absorb the light. Light is love, care and compassion. Picture: THINKSTOCK Never GIve UP WITH MARILYN KLEEMANN
