Newsletter ~ Monday 24th February 2020 https://us7.campaign-archive.com/?u=6a6b0cfafebf2f5f89550f76c&id=834e005371[7/04/2020 11:55:21 AM] Dina. Please come visit the Class 6 room and see what your children have been up to! Thanks and best wishes, Adelaide Class Seven We commence our Positive and Negative numbers math main lesson by looking closely at our Canteen earnings and expenditure over the last few weeks. The children have been counting the money and have noticed differences in both the cost of things and the amount of takings we have had. It is the perfect lead into this main lesson as they are so invested in this project. Meanwhile a note on our French lessons. I watch in awe as the children soak up the language and wonder at the learning capacity of the childs mind. Shane has a very entertaining manner and has the children talking all the time. Reducing inhibition around speaking is an important first step to understanding a new language. We take notes as we go which is helpful but book work need not be particularly neat for this lesson it is, to coin a French phrase, simply an aide memoire. Speaking of book work, I have nothing but praise for the beautiful book work the class achieved in the Arthurian Literature main lesson. You can be very proud of your childrens achievements. In friendship Katy
