I started at the end of Term 3, and have been quickly getting to know the many teachers, students and wonderful staff who come together to make our school a great place to be. Ultimately, my role as the School Counsellor is to support our school to look out for the wellbeing and mental health of our students, so they are ready to learn. I do this in a number of ways including; working with the Leadership Team to put plans in place to teach social and emotional skills, providing training and guidance to staff, arranging group wellbeing programs and providing therapy to individuals or small groups. I use a range of counselling methods, including Play Therapy and I have a focussed on working alongside families to support their children. I look forward to connecting with you and bringing you information on Student Wellbeing in our future newsletters.
