5. by inserting immediately after Clause 47 the following n e w C l a u s e : "47A (1) The provisions of Restrictive Surveillance Duty will be used w h e n the following criteria apply: (i) The need for an employee to remain away from his usual place of residence; (ii) He is unable to leave the ope r a t i o n or field of operation; (iii) He must re m a i n at the ope r a t i o n site after his eight (8 ) hour tour of duty is completed; (iv) He cannot be relieved from the operat i o n a l site due to the requirements of m a i n t a i n i n g security and secrecy of the operation. (2) Restrictive Surveillance Duty means a p e r i o d of time b e i n g twenty - f o u r (24) hours or part thereof in any one c a l e n d a r day. (3) Restrictive Surv e i l l a n c e Duty does not replace any other p r o v i s i o n of this D e t e r m i n a t i o n except as defi n e d in sub-clause (1) of this Clause. (4) Restri c t i v e S u r v e illance Duty shall commence w h e n a m e m b e r is called to duty, or, if on duty, from the c o m m e n c e m e n t of his tour of duty. (5) Restrictive S u r v e illance Duty shall cease w h e n the provi s i o n s of sub-clause ( 1 ) (iii) and (iv) are no longer the case and normal provisions shall apply. (6 ) W here a member is required to take part in a R e s t r i c t i v e Sur v e i l l a n c e Duty as d e f i n e d in sub-clause (1), the m e m b e r shall be entit l e d to payment in the following manner for duty p e r f o r m e d d u r i n g each period of R estrictive Surveillance Duty: (i) 8 hours @ current or acting rate; (ii) 8 hours @ 150% of the h o u r l y rate for S e n i o r Constable; (iii) In lieu of T r avelling Allowance, members p e r f o r m i n g Restrictive Surveillance Duty shall receive the sum of $60 p e r day or part thereof for each h our such Restrictive Surveillance Duty is performed, such payment to be calculated from the c o m m encement of the actual Restri c t i v e Sur v e i l l a n c e Duty. The amo u n t payable shall be subject to r e v i e w from time to t i m e ."
