A benthic sediment sampling survey was undertaken in the East Arm of Darwin Harbour in the period from 23 May 2019 to 12 September 2019. The survey forms a component of a sediment quality pilot project within the Integrated Marine Monitoring and Research Program that is entitled Developing (and trialling) robust sample designs for change detection, and that involves broad-scale assessments of sediment quality in Darwin Harbour through benthic sampling campaigns to each of East Arm and the Outer Harbour (including Shoal Bay). The project is funded by the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG.,
