To provide water resource managers at the Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS) with knowledge about the aquifer safe yields and performance under different potential pumping regimes, CloudGMS completed a comprehensive, analysis of available hydrogeologic data to develop a hydrogeological conceptual model and a numerical groundwater-flow model, updated from the model previously developed in 2009. The active model area covers about 196000 square kilometres and its boundaries were defined to incorporate the groundwater resources of the Cambrian sedimentary aquifers of the Mataranka Water Management Zone.
