Knowledge sharing is conducted in many ways. Future Grids knowledge sharing partner CSIRO has assisted the team to produce two published reports so far; the latest being a document that covers the Lessons Learnt in getting the project underway. In addition to documents, knowledge sharing outputs can refer to webinars, workshops, conference presentations and sharing data. The Future Grid team also learns from similar projects that are already running or have concluded. Recently, a group from Future Grid travelled to Perth, to learn from Horizon Power and other WA energy experts. There are strong synergies between Future Grid and some of Horizons projects, such as its technology trials in Carnarvon. Alice Springs Future Grid is supported by ARENA, the Australian Government and the Northern Territory Government.
