History

Requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy on 16 March 1942. During her war service in Darwin, Maroubra operated as a stores transporter and a patrol boat. She was sunk by the Japanese on 10 May 1943 at Milingimbi on a return voyage from Thursday Island, without loss of life.,
