Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Advisory Council Annual Report 2020-2021 6 Activities of the Advisory Council 2020-2021 WRCAC met on four occasions during 2020-2021. 3 September 2020 3 December 2020 25 February 2021 27 May 2021 Key issues and items WRCAC addressed or considered included the: Regulations and Recovery for Medical Fees for Workers Comp; Premium Percentage Increases Review of premium increases for small business; Lyons review action Injured Workers and Family Forum; COVID-19 implications for the rehabilitation and compensation system; and An examination of increased costs to the scheme associated 2020 legislative amendments relating to Section 78A. Committees The Council established a subcommittees, as per Part 3(14) of the Return to Work Act 1986, to assist or advise the Council in carrying out any aspect of its functions. A subcommittee may consist entirely of Council members, partly of Council members and partly of members drawn from outside of the Council, or entirely of members drawn from outside the Council. The terms and conditions of appointment of a member of a subcommittee are to be determined by the Minister. The procedures of a subcommittee are, subject to any direction by the Council or the Minister, to be as determined by the subcommittee. Injured Workers and Family Forum Membership of the Injured Workers and Family Forum Committee comprised of members from the WRCAC and the Work Health and Safety Advisory Council.
