History
The Unit was originally raised in Buffalo, New York. Some of the Unit was flown from Brisbane to Darwin in March 1942. The rest of the Unit took 13 days to drive overland from Brisbane to Darwin. A Battery was stationed at Batchelor Field, B Battery at the Darwin RAAF drome, C Battery was at the 34 Mile strip and D Battery was at Hughes Field and 28 Mile strip.,
