Notes

The Pre-primer Series is a set of ten caption books containing words which are later used in the phonic primers. The contents of each book can be taught by any sight word method. This book focusses on the grammatical suffix - wa 'to, towards'. (The suffix should only he taught as part of a whole word because it has no meaning when separated.) The series was produced for the bilingual education program at the Umbakumba School, Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory.,
