27 V1 - NTNE01Z01MA Dream on track as bike found Logan Frost, top, has been reunited with his bike days before the start of the Finke Desert Race 2022. A FINKE racer is ready to hit the track once again after being reunited with his stolen motorbike just days out from the popular off-road race. The orange KTM racing motorbike was stolen from 16-year-old Logan Frost, who was staying with family at a Coober Pedy hotel between 10.30pm on Monday and 6.30am on Tuesday. South Australian police were quick to start investigations with the bike taken from the back of a ute, parked in the town midway between Adelaide and their destination of Alice Springs. But on Wednesday morning the family was overjoyed to announce the bike had been discovered and the 16year-old was able to hit the off-road racetrack as planned. This just happened, thank you SA Police for the best phone call ever, Logans mther Diana Frost said on Facebook. Thank you Finke family and the beautiful people of Coober Pedy for all your help. Were amazed at how many people contacted us with offers of help. South Australia police thanked the public for helping recover the bike which was found shortly after 12.30am. Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating the stolen motorbike, they posted on Facebook. The bike was located shortly after 12.30am on Wednesday, June 8 and has been returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information that may assist this investigation, please contact Crime Stoppers South Australia on 1800 333 000.
