"This report presents a summary of the water quality and quantity baseline studies undertaken as part of the Beetaloo Sub-basin Strategic Regional Environmental and Baseline Assessment (SREBA). It aims to provide an update to the other significant contributions to the baseline characterisation of the water resources for the region that have already been produced as part of the Commonwealth Government's Geological and Bioregional Assessment (GBA) and Gas Industry Social and Environmental Research Alliance (GISERA) programs, and the Northern Territory Government (NTG) Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security's (DEPWS) water resource assessments. These investigations, in addition to the SREBA, have produced assessments and data following the completion of the Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing in the Northern Territory, and the outputs are critical for defining the pre-development baseline for water resources overlying the Beetaloo Sub-basin.
Readers that are making use of this report should also reference the outputs of GBA, GISERA and Water Allocation Plans (WAPs) to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of the available information.",
