Abstract
The aim of this plan is to set out the legal requirements for bellyache bush (Jatropha gossypiifolia) for land owners or occupiers to control the growth and spread of bellyache bush, minimising damage on the natural environment, property and economy. This aim is based on bellyache bush being a Class A (to be eradicated) and B (growth and spread to be controlled) weed in the Northern Territory under the Weeds Management Act 2001 (the Act). The Act is administered by the Weed Management Branch, Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS). Objectives of this plan focus around achieving this aim.,
