Date
2023,
Abstract
The aim of this plan is to set out the legal requirements for mimosa (Mimosa pigra) control by land owners or occupiers to reduce the risk and damage caused by mimosa to the natural environment, economic, social and cultural land uses and to prevent the spread of mimosa into new areas. This aim is based on mimosa being a Class A (to be eradicated) and B (growth and spread to be controlled) weed in the Northern Territory under the Weeds Management Act 2001 (the Act). The Act is administered by the Weed Management Branch, Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS). Objectives of this plan focus around achieving this aim.,
