Abstract

The development of a 10-Year Generational Strategy for Children and Families in the Northern Territory (the Generational Strategy) was a recommendation by the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory. The Generational Strategy creates a shared vision and policy framework to strengthen coordination and improve the effectiveness of the service system for children, young people and families in the Northern Territory. The Generational Strategy was co-designed by the Children and Families Tripartite Forum, which includes members from the Australian Government, Northern Territory Government, Aboriginal Peak Organisations Northern Territory (APO NT), North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) and the NT Council of Social Service (NTCOSS).,
