Description

Mr. Narita, Japanese Ambassador in Australia, presents bronze crosses for inclusion at the end of each pew and in the communion rail, and an "obi" to be used as a frontal for the pulpit and lecturn. The "obi" a woven cloth, has white doves flying over blue waves as the symbol of peace. Also possible in photo: B. Wyllie; Pattie Menzies.
