Abstract
Mapping the Future was a five-year (2018-22) program funded by the Northern Territory Government to undertake water, land, soil and biodiversity assessments in areas with high development potential. The goal of these studies was to support sustainable development of natural resources and to de-risk investment. This biodiversity report is one of several technical reports describing the biophysical resources of the Katherine area; the others address water availability and agricultural land suitability. An accompanying summary report provides an integrated overview of the soil, land and water resources, and biodiversity values, providing insight into the overall development potential of the Katherine study area,
