Description

The suburb of Moil after Cyclone Tracy viewed from underneath the water tower. Mainly shows houses between Yeadon Circuit and Parer Drive, with Casuarina High School in distance and Wagaman on the right. The relatively intact house was built and lived in by Frank Simmons. Frank lived in the tin shed in front of his car as he built the house between 1971 and 1974. The elevated water tank was relatively new at this point and maintained its structural integrity throughout Tracy. Engineer Mike Sexton checked it after the cyclone and found it was still in working order.,
