Abstract
The Katherine Tindall Limestone Aquifer Water Allocation Plan 2024-2026 has been declared under section 22B of the Water Act 1992 (the Act). This is the fourth water allocation plan for Katherine. The first, second and third water allocation plans were declared in 2009, 2016, and 2019 respectively. The changes between the 2019-2024 plan and this plan are documented in the report; Summary of changes to the Katherine Tindall Limestone Aquifer Water Allocation Plan 2019-2024 and 2024- 2026.
This water allocation plan updates the Katherine Tindall Limestone Aquifer Water Allocation Plan 2019-2024 to meet statutory requirements as a result of amendments to the Act introduced after the plans declaration in 2019. Declaration of this plan provides for the continuity of specific water management arrangements in the region.,
